BionX electric assist for bicycles

BionX is an electric motor and battery kit that can be fit to any bicycle.

As an electric assist, BionX is as good as it gets. Very light, reliable and user friendly, with one of the best batteries in the trade: an 8 Ah NiMH or Nickel Metal Hydrid.

The motor is of the advanced brushless type, which means it is very efficient and freewheels along without drag.

Very unique is the power generation feature. This means the computer turns the motor into a generator while braking or going down hill, thus the kinetic energy is recycled and flows into the battery instead of your brake pads! This little computer is easy as pie: just choose between eight levels of assist or regen.

If you are fond of your bicycle already, fitting it with a BionX will thrust true love, fortune and good health upon you. Your heart rate stays in the range of bliss and/or fat burning, peak power demands for accelerating, climbing, luggage and headwinds are smoothed out effectively so you can ride forever. Especially for a regular commute up to 20 km, the BionX is a treat.

Every bicycle or trike has the right to BionX, as long as they have a seven or eight speed derailleur and a thread-on freewheel. We can figure that out for you if this doesn't mean much to you.
